Javier Amayra – Socio Director

He has a Biological Sciences degree from the País Vasco University (UPV/EHU) and has specialised in Technical Biology and Fundamental Biology.
He has an MBA from the European School of University and Business Studies - ESEUNE

He has a Master of Business Administration for Biotechnological companies – BIOFORUM Business School.

He has over ten years professional experience in the field of clinical diagnostics, acquired in some of the most prestigious healthcare multinational companies, which has given him an in-depth knowledge of the technology required by the sector, as well as the its problems and needs. During this period he has worked for the following companies:

• Becton & Dickinson S.A., where he was co-manager of the flow cytometry and monoclonal antibodies Division. He pioneered the introduction of this technology into Spain and helped implement said technology in various hospitals and universities of the country, such as: University of Navarra Clinic, Nra Sra de Aranzazu Residency, Marqués de Valdecilla Hospital, General de Asturias Hospital, Juan Canalejo de La Coruña Hospital, Image Cytometry and Diagnostics Centre at Oviedo University.

• Behring Diagnostics GMBH, where he was responsible for implementing the following product lines in the Sales and Customer Services departments:
- Plasma proteins, nephelometry and turbidimetry
- Serology
- Coagulation
- Clinical chemistry
- Bioinformatics
During his time in the above company he developed his work in the hospital laboratories of the Microbiology, Immunology, Haematology, Biochemistry and Pharmacology Services in some of the most important centres in the country, such as: the Community Transfusion Centre in Asturias, Marqués de Valdecilla Hospital in Santander, Juan Canalejo Hospital in La Coruña, Xeral University Hospital in Santiago de Compostela, Xeral Hospital in Lugo, Meixoeiro Hospital in Vigo, Cruces Hospital in Bilbao, Basurto Hospital in Bilbao, Nra Sra de Aranzazu Residency in San Sebastián, Oncology Institute in San Sebastián, Txagorritxu Hospital in Vitoria, Galdakao Hospital, Yagüe General Hospital in Burgos, Virgen Blanca Residency in León, Getafe University Hospital in Madrid.

• Dade Behring S.A., as a specialist responsible for implementing the following product lines: plasma proteins, serology, coagulation and biochemistry. He trained people working in the healthcare sector and coordinated with the Marketing, Sales and Technical Services Department on the implementation of technology to facilitate clinical diagnostics in nephelometry, ELISA techniques in serology, coagulation and biochemical analysers, among others.
