Emilio Muñoz Ruiz is a Research Professor at the Scientific and Technological Research Institute (CSIC) and President of the ASEBIO Scientific Board. He has been President of the CSIC, General Secretary of the National Research and Development Plan as well as President of the European Inter-university Association on Society, Science and Technology (ESST). He is the author of several hundred articles on biochemistry, biotechnology and their social and economic implications, as well as on scientific and technological policy.
